Angel Spendlove (née��Wong) was born in Hong Kong and moved to Sydney at the age of 1. She trained with Jennifer Rogerson starting at age 4, and gained Honours in her all her RAD exams until the Advanced level. Angel is also a three time winner of the Isobel Anderson Awards. At age 8 she was chosen to dance as the child Ada in Bejarts “ Le Concours” with The Australian Ballet, and repeated the role at age 11, as well as dancing in Graeme Murphy’s “Nutcracker” at age 12.

She moved to Melbourne at the age of 15 to begin training at ������� in 1997 under the direction of Gailene Stock.

During her time at the ������� she performed��the��role of “Cupid" in��Don Quixote��with The Dancers Company alongside Artistic Director David McAllister, and had the opportunity to work with Rudi Van Danzig in��Four Last Songs. For her graduation performance Angel performed��Grand Pas Classique��with her third year partner Jiayin Du.

After graduating, Angel joined The Hong Kong Ballet and went on to dance many solo and principal roles in her first year with the company. Three of the highlights were the roles of the Second Shade variation in��La Bayadere, Lise in Ashtons��La Fille Mal Gardee, and "Princess Aurora" in Stephen Jeffries��Sleeping Beauty.
��Angel then moved to England where she danced with Birmingham Royal Ballet and English National Ballet, performing woks by David Bintley, Balanchine, and Sir Peter Wright. After a few seasons in the UK, Angel and her partner Michael ( another dancer from the National Ballet School in Canada) decided to move to Toronto, where Angel danced as a Principal Artist with Ballet Jorgen, performing “Juliet” in��Romeo and Juliet, “Cinderella” in��Cinderella, and “Anastasia” in��Anastasia.

Angel and Michael married in 2008 and have a young daughter Vepser, who also loves to dance. Since retiring from ballet after a 10 year career, Angel went to university in Toronto where she received a Bachelors Degree in Architecture and Environmental Design, and went on to become a fashion designer.

She is now Creative Director of her own label, & FOR LOVE, a contemporary bridal brand based in Toronto.
