Nikolas Cassadine may be well on his way back, and the General Hospital spoiler mill is going crazy over it! The cat will bring in a lot of inquiries along with Nik, though! What is Nik’s character journey, who will play him, and which gray area will he explore this time? Darkness or light? Since Nik has experienced so much lately, any side of the coin could actually come up! Let’s quickly consider the scenarios that might develop upon his return to Port Charles.
Will Nik, who has been in a coma, emerge as the next villain?
Nik is presently fighting a coma in a long-term rehabilitation facility under Mason’s supervision on General Hospital. But he will soon awaken; it is only a question of time. Because, let’s face it, they would have just left him to perish at Ava’s hands that fateful night if they hadn’t planned on bringing him back. This is a sizable tale that is frozen and ready to be unfrozen. And if there was ever a perfect moment, this is it! Valentin and Spencer are now (at least temporarily) as far away from the wicked Cassadine gene as they can possibly be since Victor has left.
Nikolas is the Cassadine who has recently showed the potential to turn truly sinister on General Hospital. Additionally, Victor’s empty evil chair is begging to be filled. Maybe Nik will wake up a little darker when he comes out of his sleep! He might believe that his loved ones, particularly Ava, have gravely mistreated him. Ave attempted to kill him, Esme utterly destroyed his life, and Spencer has no interest in him. He had already started to fall apart around the end of his previous storyline. Therefore, this insight might be enough to send him over the brink!
Will Nik on General Hospital choose retribution or revenge?
Nik’s experiences before his coma as well as any realizations he might have had upon waking up on General Hospital are all part of the story. No one is actually hunting for him right now! How likely is it that it wouldn’t pinch? Nik might then come to terms with the fact that he is alone and be motivated to exact revenge on everyone who has hurt him, betrayed him, or even as simple as called him out on his actions in the past! Ava had better keep an eye on her back if that occurs!
However, Nik might also awaken to a whole different view on General Hospital if the coin lands with the opposite side up. He might decide to change his ways once he realizes the mess his poor decisions have put him in. He might try to mend fences with Ava and make up with Spencer.
