Thas Ramone and Patrick Mendes from 90 Day Fiancé season 9 are quite similar in age to their co-stars Emily and Kobe. In reality, when they got married, Julia was only a year younger than Brandon, who was 30. Despite being close in age, Brandon and Julia have very different perspectives on the world. While farm boy Brandon wanted to delay having children and stay on the family farm, city girl Julia wanted both children and to leave the farm. In their marriage, the couple has however learned to compromise.

The three-parent family has its own spin-off program, and many viewers obsessively follow the details of their marriage and parenthood.
