To put an end to this strike before it truly starts to pose some serious issues, the entertainment sector will eventually need to make some changes. In fact, Ron Carlivati, the head writer of Days of Our Lives, recently discussed the writer’s strike and how it would affect the daytime television industry. For all the information you require, continue reading below.

News about Days of Our Lives: Ron Carlivati Discusses The Writer’s Strike

According to Carlivati, “Our unique circumstance is that our show is on every day of the year,” in a recent interview with Vulture. Our show is currently under production, in contrast to many of these projects that aren’t. And the performances continue. When I worked at One Life to Live in 2007, they took our place, and I can only imagine they’re doing the same thing now. Beginning today, other people will take my place.

The writers union and WGA are still negotiating as of the time of publication. But it’s highly unlikely that Days of Our Lives will be impacted by the writer’s strike because it is filmed six months in advance. Days of Our Lives was one of the few programs that continued to have brand-new programming to offer while everyone else switched back to repeats, just like when everything was shut down during the pandemic.

“They currently have scripts written by me and my team; I wrote the show through almost Christmas,” Carlivati continued. They will soon run out because a large portion of it has already been taped and what I have previously written will be taped in a few weeks. But the shows have resumed, just as they did in 2007.

The Performance Will Last Days of Our Lives

I applaud the writers’ strike, but Ron Carlivati needs a significant vacation from Days, many DOOL fans have said in response. He’s exhausted, and I’m curious to see what a newcomer can offer to the table. If I may say so, I think I’m done with Ron. Dan and Chris are poor head writers, and I feel the same way about them.
