When has a soap ever introduced a character if it wasn’t planning on them creating controversy? Zeke might not be as innocent as he appears to be at this time, so that’s a possibility. So what may his motivation be for visiting Port Charles? After all, Portia Robinson, a doctor, and her family appear to be his only ties to the community. It might just be that obvious! Zeke has presented himself thus far on General Hospital as this laid-back, free-spirited character who has no qualms about deviating from the family business. We are aware that Portia is a doctor, and seasoned viewers will recall that their father is also one. Zeke, however, decided to succeed in a different industry! He decided to practice law! Possibly to his father’s dismay? Ah, so this might be a childhood issue or perhaps a lifetime of doubts. Is Zeke an envious, betrayed brother trying to take control of his sister’s life?
Isn’t this a well-known story? Growing sibling rivalry from childhood comparisons, followed by a full-blown vengeance? Portia may have had all of senior Dr. Robinson’s love and approval for choosing his line of work and developing into his ideal golden girl on General Hospital. Meanwhile, he made fun of Zeke’s carefree attitude toward life and consistently viewed him as inferior to his sister!
Zeke may have the ideal chance to disprove Portia’s portrayal by their father now that she is hiding a bag of secrets and her marriage is in jeopardy.
