The attractive actor admits that he was undoubtedly anxious when he returned to the set of the popular show in a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest. “My first scene back, I’m in an interrogation room with Steve Burton [Harris] and Stephen Nichols [Steve], the two Steves who are pros and icons in the genre, and it was a very intense interrogation scene,” he remembered. We started filming, and because things move rapidly, there wasn’t much time to sit down and really consider which direction to take the character with the executive producer and the authors. Instead, you were kind of left to your own devices to gradually develop. And that’s the great thing about being on daily; you really have the chance to build a persona in front of the public.

The enjoyable aspect about this, he said, is that a character who was before quite hostile, broken, and hardened is suddenly highly expressive of his emotions. Although he is still damaged, he has a good heart and is only learning how to use it.
