Trina Robinson participates in her new dad’s first birthday celebration in the General Hospital recap.

Highlights of the General Hospital Recap

In this episode, Olivia received some welcome news, Carly received a reprimand, Jordan received more than she bargained for, Zeke had a mild surprise, Gladys breathed a sigh of relief, and Drew readied himself to be put to death. Let’s now delve a little more deeply into the specifics.

Recap from General Hospital: Trina Robinson honors Curtis

For his birthday celebration, Curtis (Donnell Turner) met with his loved ones at the Metro Court pool. Even Trina (Tabyana Ali) showed up bearing a present. Marshall (Robert Gossett) and Stella (Vernee Watson) were delighted to have her join their family.

Since the family was finally reunited for the first time in a very long time, Marshall, who was donning a hat as usual, made a toast. They all watched in adoration. Trina left when Stella toasted her and asked to take a family photo because it was obvious that she felt awkward.

When Curtis and Portia (Brook Kerr) were by themselves, they acknowledged they may want to dial back the instant family activities. Portia was definitely more eager to move quickly and discuss the paternity surprise than Curtis was. She questioned whether Curtis felt resentful since she had him miss Trina’s formative years, but Curtis was unfazed. Now that Trina was willing, he could connect with her. By telling Portia there was a chance they may still st art a real family, he at least made her happy. Curtis assured Trina they would take things day by day when she got back.

Trina then gave Curtis a handmade gift because he didn’t get to receive many of her creations when she was younger. However, they needed a picture, and Curtis had the perfect idea, so they took a selfie.

Recap of General Hospital: Taggert Loses Hope Over Trina Robinson

At the Metro Court restaurant, Jordan (Tanisha Harper) met Zeke (Gavin Houston). He had to meet with Drew (Cameron Mathison), so they couldn’t have a long conversation, but Jordan soon had to deal with a drunk Taggert (RĂ©al Andrews). Jordan led him to his room so he could sober up and they could talk because all he wanted to do was drink more.

When Taggert discovered he was not Trina’s real father, he sobbed and finally let out his emotions in his room. He believed that both Portia’s affair and the breakdown of his marriage were his fault. In the end, he discovered that he was unprepared for the possibility that Trina was not his. He realized that Trina’s personality traits, which he had assumed originated from his family, didn’t come from him at all while they were together the previous evening. He believed that having his daughter was the one thing he had ever done well. An emotional Taggert was reassured by Jordan that he had made Trina the person she was, and that no one could take that away from him. Taggert countered that they already had.

Zeke wanted to negotiate a deal with the SEC, so Drew and Zeke sat down at a table to talk about it. Like last week, Drew was hesitant to make any decisions just yet. As soon as Zeke noticed Jordan and Taggert entering the elevator together, he became sidetracked.

Gladys Scores on GH, and Olivia Is Thankful

Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) was ready to end her guardianship at General Hospital, despite Gladys’ (Bonnie Burroughs) best efforts to persuade her otherwise. Sasha was looking forward to her mental health evaluation. Gladys mentioned the most recent TV appearance, and Sasha thanked Cody (Josh Kelly) for supporting her. Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) arrived at that same moment, and Sam acknowledged that Cody had unquestionably saved the day. Gladys could only slam Cody when Sasha dubbed him one of the nice men.

Sam could tell Gladys didn’t want the guardianship to end and called her out on it after Dante left while the women talked about it. Gladys offered a defense, but Sasha continued to grill her mother-in-law once the two of them were alone. She failed to understand why Gladys was unable to discern her progress. Soon it was time for Sasha to be evaluated, but Gladys panicked when she found out she couldn’t take part.

Sasha once complimented Gladys for stepping up and supporting her in front of the psychiatrist, but the doctor inquired about their head-butting incidents. When Gladys and the doctor had some alone time after their appointment in the hospital hallways, it turned out that they had met at Selina’s (Lydia Look) poker game.

With her rosary beads, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) stood watch by Ned’s (Wally Kurth) side, but she felt that God wasn’t paying attention. Olivia wasn’t sure she wanted the comfort Carly (Laura Wright) was bringing, but she had just arrived. She was happy to see Carly there, though, when TJ (Tajh Bellow) informed them that Ned might need surgery because the swelling in his brain wasn’t subsiding as soon as they would have liked.

When Carly said that there was no one Drew wouldn’t save, Olivia, who had been only grateful that Drew was there to save Ned, turned on her friend. Because Carly now thought her husband wasn’t the tipper, she wasn’t going to accept that Ned was still at responsible for the SEC mess. Olivia recognized this. While Carly tried to defend herself, Olivia advised her to leave since she didn’t want to hear it.

Carly caught up with Drew the next day and expressed her regret that they would never be free of the SEC accusations if Ned remained in the hospital, proving that she was not particularly worried about Ned’s genuine well-being. Because Tracy seemed to have a one-track mind, Drew was still optimistic that they could use him as a tool for blackmail. Who cares if Ned is unconscious? When Drew told Carly about Tracy’s allegations and how the security cameras had protected him, Carly claimed responsibility for having insisted on the installation of cameras.

TJ was able to offer some positive news back at the hospital. Ned’s swollen brain was decreasing, and TJ was cautiously optimistic that he would recover fully.
