Is Shawn Christian Returning As Dr. Danial Jonas on Days of Our Lives?
Yes, yes, we know! Daniel is dead! But when has that ever stopped a character from returning on Days of Our Lives? Megan was dead, and so was Bo! But they are both back, aren’t they? Hell, Stefan was literally kept on ice without a heart! So it really wouldn’t be all that outlandish if Dr. Daniel Jonas suddenly decided to return to Salem. For the uninitiated, Actor Shawn Christian joined the cast as Daniel Jonas in 2007. He worked as a doctor in the Salem University Hospital and happened to be Victor Kiriakis’ god son. During his stint on the soap, he had many relationships. However, his final one was with Nicole, and the couple was looking at getting married soon.
Unfortunately, the day never arrived since Daniel devastatingly passed away in a car crash caused by an intoxicated Eric Brady! Ever since his passing, Daniel has been seen a couple of times in spirit form. His last appearance on the soap was in 2017. However, recently in a chat with Soap.com, Shawn expressed his stance about returning to Days of Our Lives as Daniel. The talented actor gushed that he thoroughly enjoyed his previous stint on the soap, and if the opportunity ever presented itself, he would love to return. Of course, if time permitted and he had no films going on at the time, he pointed.
Furthermore, Shawn Christian shared that Days of Our Lives fans still ask him about returning to the soap everywhere he goes. He expressed that he is deeply grateful for all the love that he receives from the fans. Moreover, he feels moved that even after all these years, they still want him to return to the soap!
